DETAILED RESPONSES
About AccelRate
- Q. Who invented AccelRate™ “high-speed” charging technology?
-
A. The AccelRate charger technology is the evolution and result of more than five
years of battery and charger research development. AccelRate’s technology was developed
by Vladimir Petrovic, AccelRate’s Chief Technology Officer.
- Q. Are AccelRate™ “high-speed” battery chargers commercially available
today?
-
A. AccelRate’s high-speed battery charger is commercially available today for use
in motive power applications using lead acid batteries.
- Q. What products does AccelRate manufacture?
-
A. At this time, AccelRate’s strategy is to be a licensor-of-choice to charger providers.
As such, the Company does not intend to manufacture, but instead will align with
industry market leaders, who will incorporate AccelRate’s technology into their
products. In addition the Company works with an offshore manufacturer to supply
sequencers.
- Q. What are the primary markets AccelRate is targeting?
-
A. After undertaking a review of our technology and the markets we are targeting,
the Company has focused on markets that utilise conventional batteries (i.e. lead-acid)
which are characterized by large volume potential, where the adoption of high-speed
charging can have the greatest impact on product value. We believe the markets that
best fit this description are the materials handling, aerials (scissors and booms),
transportation, personal carriers, and stationary markets.
- The Company's near-term
strategy is aimed at accessing high-value applications utilising lead-acid
batteries, as our technology is fully developed and validated for this chemistry.
Applications where we are currently focused on utilising this chemistry include
warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution, all of which require forklift trucks.
- Q. How can I become a supplier to AccelRate?
-
A. As AccelRate does not manufacture at this time, we will not be sourcing or accepting
inquiries from potential suppliers.
